Plastic Mold Water Line Should Be Designed To Meet Those Conditions.

These are 9 tips that should be met on design a mold's Water Line:

A. The gap of water line edge and Parts edge shouldn't be generally less than 10MM, between 10MM and 12MM ; the gap of alloy mold is generally 25MM.

B. The gap between Water line edge and pin, ejector pin, sleeve, Insert material edge should be designed as below:

  1. The Core & Cavity of mold ≦ 200MM, the gap should be more than 3.5MM.
  2. The Core & Cavity of mold Between 200MM and 400MM , the gap should be more than 4 MM.
  3. The Core & Cavity of mold Between 400MM and 600MM , the gap should be more than 5 MM.
  4. The Core & Cavity of mold More than 600MM , the gap should be more than 8 MM.

C. The gap between Water Line and gas cap / oil hydraulic circuit should be more than 8MM.

D. The gap between Water line and Sprue Avoid the empty side should be more than 8MM.

E. The gap between Water line edge and core & cavity edge should be more than 10MM.

F. The same aspect of Water Line 's Design:

  1. Two Nipple same aspect, two water line's center gap should be more than 38MM.
  2. Nipple and Plug same aspect, two water line's center gap should be more than 25MM.
  3. Two Plug same aspect, two water line's center gap should be more than 20MM.
  4. Big mold, two water line's center gap should be more than 60MM.

G. The gap of every Baffles are should be more than 2MM, The gap of every Plugs are should be more than 5MM.

H. Each Water Line circuit are shouldn't more than 8 baffles in series. (Some US customers Required to do not more than 6 Baffles in Series.)

I. when design a cooling water line on a Mold Insert, The gap between water line and insert material edge closest to keep 5 mm. The gap between water line and insert edge should be more than 3.5 mm.
